skp51443
I just got a great tip from a family member that has a couple panicky Chiwawas that have suffered badly in previous years. Instead of doping them up this year they had an action movie marathon. Lots of gunfire and explosions, dogs were not happy but they didn't have severe problems either. They are going to try it during the next thunderstorm too, hopefully they can be panic and drug free. First rule of computer consulting: Sell a customer a Linux computer and you'll eat for a day. TCW
Strange at least to me, my hunting dogs are afraid of thunder and fireworks yet will run toward the sound of gun fire. A solution I found is to put on a duck/goose hunting video. All the calling, gun fire, occasional dog bark and motion on the screen seems to keep them occupied through all but the loudest claps of thunder. Even the cat, who seems to enjoy watching the lightning, is at times interested in all the motion on the TV screen. The one that dies with the most toys is still dead!
