RVW RV Wholesalers Dealer

Recommended Posts

We're shopping new RV's and ran across an Ohio dealer that seems to offer great prices- on the unit we're presently looking at, their price was 67% of the MSRP, which is amazing. After chatting online, I found out their delivery prices, which would still leave us with a substantial savings, and they contract out warranty work with many dealers. Anyone have any experience with this online dealer, or thoughts on them? http://www.rvwholesalers.com/

They have been getting very good reviews over on the Forest River Owners Group forums and if a poor review gets posted the owner who is also on the forums usually steps in to resolve the issue. If they carried the 5th wheel we wanted we would have used them. Good luck

If you are a fulltimer that actually travels, what is the chance that you will be near any dealer that you might purchase from? We purchased our last RV from a dealer in Florida. We were almost 1,000 miles away when we found a manufacturer's warranty issue. I filed a warranty claim directly with the manufacturer and they worked with a dealer in the area where we were to get the work done. There may also be the option of going to the factory for repairs. Not sure that buying from RV Wholesalers would be any more problematic than buying from a manufacturer that only sells direct. I know of only one dealership company that has multiple dealerships across the country and the mention of their name or that of the parent company on this forum will generate a lot of negative replies. Over the years on three different RVs from three different manufacturers and dealers, we have had appliance warranty work done by mobile techs. We have had to pay the service call fee, but all the parts and labor have been covered by the appliance manufacturer.

Me - Interesting, the other place we are looking for this particular unit is one of the largest, multidealer companies around. LaZyDays - I assume that is who you are referring to. But they seem to have the available inventory and some of the best prices. Is it reasonable to say that the entire industry is as reliable as Big Ed's Used Cars?

I've never found Lazy Days to have great prices. They do have great inventory, though.

No I wasn't thinking of Lazy Days which apparently now has 5 dealerships. I was only aware of two. Even with the five, if you travel, how likely is it that you will be very close to any of them if needed. The company I was thinking of has over 100 dealerships nationwide. My intent is not to endorse them, only to make the point that without a large dealer network you may not be conveniently close to your dealer when repairs are needed.
