Velos
Will be traveling from Boulder City, NV to Beatty, NV. on our way north next week. We drove the 515 yesterday to check out downtown Las Vegas, NV and it was a mess traffic wise on 515 because of road construction. We came back via 15 and 215 which was better but thinking of taking the 215 from Boulder City all the way around Sutherland to 95 for less traffic and road construction. Any suggestions? Thank you. bobsallyh
We are in Boulder City. Today at approx. 11.15 AM we took 515 to 215 to go north on I-15. There was moderate traffic I'd say, but then I'm use to city traffic. I used the center lane most of the time, now this was without the fiver. Two left lanes as you are coming to McCarren Airport are closed but this really didn't affect anything. I have been the route you are talking about going thru Summerlin and it is good although we weren't getting on US 95. On Monday or Tuesday when we leave we will probably take 515-215-I-15. Usually we take 515 directly to I-15 but with an exit closed for bridge building and major traffic at the time we leave, this is why we will take the alternate route. Of course the time of the day makes changes things. Of course it will slow down at the Spaghetti Bowl no matter what.
tpipkins
I would take 515 to 215 to 160 North to Pahrump to 95 then North to Beatty. About 8 miles further than through Vegas. Maybe 15 minutes longer. '98 Volvo, '03 Newmar Mountain Aire 5er,'07 Polaris RangerPart timing all the time

bobsallyh
This AM we left Boulder City at 7:30 AM. Used 515 to 215 to Windmill RD. then off Windmill RD. onto I-15 north. One slow down on 215 but was good to go. Windmill RD. turns into RT 160 and Blue Diamond Hiway on the west side of I-15 witch takes you over the hump to Pahrump. Ronbo
Las Vegas isn't that big to worry that much about it. Not at all like Phoenix or Las Angeles Ron C. 2013 Dynamax Trilogy 3850 D3 2000 Kenworth T2000 Optimus Prime
bobsallyh
Ronbo, I'll go along with that. We drive all over Sin City. But we have friends who do almost anything to NOT come thru Las Vegas.
Ronbo
We lived there for 15 years and never had a problem. I also drove ambulance. Favorite run is Friday or Saturday night on the strip. Spend more time I opposing traffic code 3 than on your own side. Ron C. 2013 Dynamax Trilogy 3850 D3 2000 Kenworth T2000 Optimus Prime
Velos
Drove the 215 west around Las Vegas and found less traffic on Thursday. The last 4 miles is not completed and was just 2 lanes each way then got off on North Durango about a mile away from 95 north. Construction on the north end of 215 is still going on and looks to be a couple of years before is is completed all the way to 95. Will take it again when we are in the area.
