Possible Receiver problem

Recommended Posts

When we upgraded to the Pathway X2 we got a new receiver also. Been playing great. Well about 2 weeks ago we were watching a show and screen goes black. After a pause it comes back up to re scan. It is like the receiver loses its memory. It has done this 3 more times. No pattern to it. We rescan and all is fine until next time. Receiver?

That does look like a receiver issue unless there's an intermittent 120-volt power issue, such as a bad outlet, etc. It could be something as simple as a loose wire or power cord plug.

Ok, it could be a failing receiver then. It would only take a brief power glitch though, to cause a reset. Is it going through the full reset or just rescanning for satellite signals. Rescanning could also indicate an X2 or coax connection issue.
