UnitedHealthcare to Exit Most ACA Exchanges in 2017

Recommended Posts

Heard on the news tonight that they maybe facing a $400-500 million dollar loss this year. A reason that they maybe leaving that part of the market. Why is it that every time our government gets involved in some issue that they mess it up SO bad.

And now this . . .

Just received a letter from UnitedHealthcare, dated June 1st, that says that our current health plan (PPO w/o nationwide coverage) will NOT be offered in 2017.

The good news is that this is my wife's plan who turns 65 in December. Wahoo!

I would imagine UnitedHealthcare is sending out letters to participants in other states.
