noteven
That doesn't need a crew of F1 mechanics and laptops to diagnose a failed heater switch.... Nolan
I sure like our Kenworth T600. I know a lot of drivers and people on here who don't because of the tightness between the seats to get to the sleeper.

Dollytrolley
Nice.......simple has merit..... At 311K miles for a KW it is just about New....... Pre-Emissions makes life simple...... Our old FL is pretty much stone-age so..........I have to do a per-trip inspection to check things out that the computer might be better at IF.......the computer was happy that day............ I wonder how many of the newer hi-tech trucks will be supported in 20 years when the complex systems become........."Legacy-Systems"............ I also wonder how many of the older "simple-pre-emisson-trucks" will eventually be banned in some locations.............. Too much time pondering so......... Drive on...........(Simple has some merit........) 97 Freightshaker Century Cummins M11-370 / 1350 /10 spd / 3:08 /tandem/ 20ft Garage/ 30 ft Curtis Dune toybox with a removable horse-haul-module to transport Dolly-The-Painthorse to horse camps and trail heads all over the Western U S
Phil D
The truck's VIN in the Truckpaper listing is missing a digit. Hopefully the advertised mileage isn't missing one, too. Phil - I suspect there is a missing digit on the actual total miles - most likely a 1.3 mil miles truck. Not to panic, low plastic and wispy hair wiring content in these trucks... Just thought it might be of interest to someone who carries a few tools and has to be Nowhere in Particular. I would want an expert inspection done on the N14, and at least a fluid sample on the trans and diff. and some tires and brakes. The rest is pretty much tinkering. Does $12,500 down even get you a new 3, 4, 5, fitty - hunnert pickup off the lot these days? "Are we there yet?" asked no motorcycle rider, ever. Sure ..... you might even get $300/mo payments. But in 5 years you will still owe more on the truck then what it is actually worth. 2017 Entegra Anthem 44A SOLD - 2004 Volvo 780. 465hp and 10sp Auto Shift (from 2010~2017) SOLD - 2009 Montana 3400RL

RickW
That is when the reality of the low down payment, low monthly payments really set in. When the repair bills start rolling in, the knee jerk reaction is buy a new one but they can't because they are already upside down in the vehicle that needs repair. Or they go to the dealer for a oil change and end up trading for a new vehicle (true story, my cousin just did this about 3 months ago on a truck that was only 1 year old). 2017 Entegra Anthem 44A SOLD - 2004 Volvo 780. 465hp and 10sp Auto Shift (from 2010~2017) SOLD - 2009 Montana 3400RL
noteven
I tink it is a factory single drive - 23K axle listed, no abandoned power divider switch on the dash. It's not an Aerocab. DarrellPonton
From an old truckers perspective, I would never buy a truck with an N14 Cummins. The newer low sulfur fuel eats injectors on a regular basis. They were $550.00 a pop 10 years ago. The NTC Engines were great, but I never liked the run or expense of an N14. I can't comment on the newer cummins because we went to Cat.

My current injectors have 700k plus on them, and I just replaced the first one. Ymmv Jay
