  1. Evening everyone, I tried to find some info about this in the forum search without luck so I'm betting someone here has experience with this. After bouncing around for the past few years, I am considering purchasing a lot so as to have a more permanent existence, while still traveling occasionally. I don't want break the bank by buying outright, so I wondered if banks make loans (sorta like a mortgage) on deeded lots. I didn't want to waste time with the financial institutions if the answer is going to be an across the board "no", so I thought this would be a good place to find out beforehand. Thanks for any feedback.
  2. This worked for me when I had a problem with the main cable inlet. Since you know where the curb side cable outlet goes on the inside, you can use that outlet can as an inlet, so hook up satellite to the satellite connection on the road side, and cable into the curb side outlet. Just be sure it is a clean connection on the curb side, for example it doesn't go through a booster or anything like that. More than likely it doesn't, but be sure so you don't create any problems. Can't offer anything about how to interface all of it though without seeing it. Splitters and things can be used; you just have to figure out what goes where. You could probably use an A/B switch so you don't have to keep hooking and unhooking cable to the back of your tv, but every connection causes signal loss. Nothing says the signal can't go both ways through a wire; it's not electrical. Good luck.
  3. Stanley, Yarome, thanks for the input. Kind of my feelings as well. So think I will pass. As far as wanting to use them, I was considering Az as a residence state (according the state website, only income earned in Az is subject to a state tax if I read it correctly, which doesn't affect me, so in essence they are a no tax state for my situation). But there are no mail services that I could find other than the one. Currently a Fl home residence, but will eventually change it to a western state. Guess it will have to be Texas or SD.... ! Thanks again.
  4. Greetings all, Is anyone familiar with or even heard of BCM Mail and Ship in Quartzsite? http://bcmmailandship.com/ Their website says they have been in business since 1997, but I have not seen anything mentioned about them on any RV forum. I am considering using their services but would like to know if they are reputable before I do. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
