  1. Getting your Android device from a trusted manufacturer is the key to security, mom has one that hasn't EVER had an update to the core software and it is several years old. I usually go with Nexus or Samsung and can't help on others, Nexus is almost always faster to update than Samsung since it is an Alphabet made device. Apps on Android that come from the Google App Store should update automatically as updates become available, helps security but not a lot if they are just putting lipstick on an antique core software install. Browsing on Android, I like Brave as it keeps as much of your personal and identifying info hidden. It is a big change for Firefox or Chrome users but it grows on you.
  2. Plenty of camera devices available to examine your tanks, either to buy or for rent. http://smile.amazon.com/Crenova-Megapixel-Endoscope-Waterproof-Inspection/dp/B016KUGVJC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1465086207&sr=8-2
  3. If you do a good job of keeping your tanks clean you may never need a professional cleaning but if you abuse them you can end up with gunk that is going to be difficult to remove without serious effort and equipment. A good tank flusher, one that goes down the toilet and blasts the sides and bottom of the black tank with a solid stream of water will do wonders in preventing buildup in the black tank, much better than most in-tank flushers. They won't work on all tanks but where they do work I'd use one. The gray tank(s) need care too, a good flushing can remove a lot of buildup before it becomes a problem. For a kitchen tank that gets grease flushing with a big pan full of boiling water a couple times when parked followed by another pan and some good grease cutting soap left to slosh on your next move. Shower only tanks can benefit from the boiling flush and slosh method too.
  4. One point not mentioned above is smell, not from the drains but from the plumbing vents on the roof. That smell can be drawn through a skylight vent or through air leaks in the air conditioner. On poorly built rigs where the vent pipe is not sealed to the roof you can get smelly air coming in there. Something else that can give you a blast of bad smell is flushing the toilet with a vent fan blowing out, we learned to not do that! A last point you won't see in a lot of homes are the vent valves used on many RV sinks, under the counter they are supposed to allow air in so the P trap doesn't get sucked dry but prevent air from escaping. Cheap and easy to replace if you suspect one of causing a problem.
  5. AZ taxes (income, sales) and fees (plates) are high! Some emissions tests are awful too, depending on your vehicle and location.
  6. We tried a lot of brands of water process decaf and were never satisfied with the flavor compared to caffeinated. If you are trying to cut back your caffeine intake and can't find a water process brand you like give the CO2 process brands a look before you give up on coffee or limiting your caffeine intake.
  7. On decaf, you might want to think about that again as there are options today that many have not heard of and that I'm comfortable with. The reason we are still drinking coffee is that you can get some pretty good coffee that is decaffeinated using the fairly new CO2 process that doesn't add anything toxic to the beans or hurt the flavor. I started buying some from a place in New Jersey that I heard about while researching espresso machines. They offer two varieties that are in my opinion as good as regular coffee. http://www.coffeebeandirect.com/ Columbian: http://www.coffeebeandirect.com/roasted-coffee/decaffeinated/co2-decaf-colombian.html Espresso: http://www.coffeebeandirect.com/roasted-coffee/decaffeinated/co2-decaf-espresso.html It is also available on Amazon, the Amazon bags are a bit older than ones ordered direct but are still well within the shelf life. http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B004UOA23M/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl http://smile.amazon.com/Coffee-Bean-Direct-Colombian-5-Pound/dp/B002GWH8Y6/ref=sr_1_1_a_it ------- On protein powders, I tried several and didn't care for them much as I couldn't see that they made any difference for my issues. The person that suggested (a professional nutritionist) I try some had very specific suggestions on things to look for and things to avoid and good reasons for each, which of course I can't recall now that I need them. I hope others here have some good information for you.
  8. You can always call the club business office and mention the issue. You'll usually end up forwarded to the computer room unless they are already working on the problem. There is no real out of office hours support though, best you could do is make a post here and then use the "Report" link that is at the bottom of your post (once you make it) to send a notice to the admin staff if they happen to check their e-mail. It looks to be working now.
  9. We were fulltime with an Arizona mail service and found our retirement and investment income was costing us a pretty penny in AZ taxes even though we were outside the state almost all year. Moving to a no income tax state saved us a fair amount on that tax as did picking one with lower RV licence fees, the truck plate alone was over $1500 less! Then there was the sales tax on a new rig, huge savings, 7% less, by moving before buying. You may be looking at the Arizona part-year tax forms, they look great until you realize the only time you can use them is the year you move to Arizona and the year you move elsewhere.
  10. Thought I'd look at their operation in Q... https://www.google.com/maps/place/852+W+Cowell+St,+Quartzsite,+AZ+85346/@33.6676234,-114.2197703,192m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x80d1596df34b5d77:0x49054610c7ebf07e Google data is a bit thin too: https://www.google.com/search?q=BCM+Mail+and+Ship+in+Quartzsite%2C+az&oq=BCM+Mail+and+Ship+in+Quartzsite%2C+az&aqs=chrome..69i57.4942j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 Arizona is not a prime home-base state, do you have a particular reason for wanting to use it?
  11. If you call the club office and ask for the computer room they will likely get you sorted out fairly quickly.
  12. Cleaned up the dupes. Discussion of the forum issues is going on down in the Bugs forum at the bottom of the main page but they are mostly fixed as of this morning.
  13. Rule 1: You never have enough truck... although the one you have may do until you get the next one which will of course also not be quite big enough. Rule 2: If you really think have enough truck then it doesn't have _______ and you need a new and bigger truck that has it. Rule 3: Big enough and has everything, almost good enough... but the color isn't quite right and repaints are never perfect so you need a new truck. Rule 4: If your spouse thinks you are following these rules, tell them the truck is fine. Wait for them to be distracted by something else and GET A NEW TRUCK, put a bow on it and practice saying "See what I got you!" Rule 4a: Make sure the sleeper is comfy. :-)
  14. Arizona has a fair number of the much more aggressive Africanized bee colonies so you need to treat any swarm here with a lot more caution than you'd normally give them.
  15. Google up your computer dis-assembly manual and take it apart, a clean and wiggle everything session can quite often revive something that isn't working. If nothing else you'll know how to get the good bits out of it before you scrap it.
