I don't know much about Facebook, but my daughter helped me setup a Facebook page for the National HDT Rally. There is not much there yet as it is still a work in progress, but go on over there and "Like" the page, share it with your friends, and maybe even post a comment or two. Let me know what you think.

The National HDT Rally Facebook page is not a competing page to this forum or to HDTRally.com, it's complementary to them. It's a place to get the word out about the National HDT Rally to people who may not know about this forum or about HDTRally.com. It's a place that you can add your photos, videos, and comments about the upcoming rally and past rallies. Feel free contribute to the page. We would love to hear from you.

I refuse to join facebook or deal with any company that wants customers to "like" them on facebook. If there was a "dislike" button, well that might be a different thing!

Do like I do. Ignore all the posts that want a 'Like' and just use it to read about things going on with my family. Shoot, that's how I found out about my daughter's boyfriend!! I just don't post much on there.

Having a Facebook page is smart and good for the HDT cause. Having a Facebook presence for a group, organization or business is just as important in todays world as having a website/web presence. I would also suggest locking up a twitter handle too for the same reasons.

Personally I do not Facebook, but my business does. Just like many of us who prefer not to Facebook there is the flip side of the coin for those who's primary source of information is Facebook & Twitter.

The only comment I would make is that we should have a statement somewhere near the top of the page explaining what a HDT is and what we use them for. Someone just glancing at that page would think we are a bunch of truckers meeting at a Pilot station somewhere in Kansas.

This information is on the about tab.
