Star Dreamer
Has any one been to this RV & Mobile home park? They have a picture on their website showing some HDT's but it doesn't show listed in the HDT campground guide. We are looking for an inexpensive Campground near Sun-N-Fun air park in Lakeland, FL that can accommodate us for a few days in July. I'mdonewiththis forum
Dave, read this: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/florida/plant-city/sundial-mobile-home-and-rv-park Then you can go here for an idea as to what campgrounds are like along with pricing: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/
Star Dreamer
Thanks Mntom. Actually that was how I found that campground. The reviews were not very good but most of the other ones in that area either don't look like they can handle our rigs or have just as bad of reviews or our too far away. The problem with RVpark reviews is that you can not trust the Big rig access as what they consider big rig is more a larger motorhome and not an HDT. I'mdonewiththis forum
I was looking at the reviews more than size, but you are correct. Very few have any idea what the size requirements are for an HDT. Tom
billr
There is RV parking with hookups inside sun and fun airpark. We stayed a few times with the HDT rig. Star Dreamer
Thanks Bill, I have been trying to get a hold of someone at Sun-n-fun but no one answered, their voice mail was not working and they haven't responded to email yet. Good to know they may be able to accommodate the HDT if I can get a hold of them. PSD_Tweaker
One of those Volvos is mine, I went there with friends a few years ago. It is tight to maneuver in that park, and no sewer on the sites. The Dump station is a tricky deal with a big rig..... I would not go back.... Tom This is why I always put "HDTer" in all my reviews on RVParkReviews.com. I have suggested this several times before, too. Bill and Judy LeMosy
If it isn't too far away, you might consider LeLynn RV Park near Polk City, FL. It's an older park but we stayed there part of last winter and they put us into a site that was pretty easy to get in and out of. They're nice folks. They have pull throughs but the concrete on many is pretty broken up. Back-ins are better. Pricing in summer is probably somewhere in neighborhood of $35. They don't have a website but they do have a Facebook page with some pictures <https://www.facebook.com/LeLynn-RV-Resort-164635696887921/> Judy LeMosy 2007 New Horizons Summit 38' / 2001 610 Volvo with Smart Car on bed
Star Dreamer
Rick, thank you that was what we needed to know. Judy, thanks for the info on the other park, it will be our back up plan as it is about 30 minute drive according to Google so it is doable. We managed to get a hold of someone from Sun-n-fun thru their face book page and have a spot reserved there, so hopefully that will work out good. Thanks everyone.
