Hello

Ive been looking at the new KZ Venom 3911 toy hauler, love the floor plan. Unfortunately info on these new units is non existent. I've heard from two owners that seem to be happy with there purchase.

I welcome any reply with info or opinion regarding the new Venom line from KZ

Thanks

Soundman

Soundman,

Variety is the spice of life. Don't be fooled by the eye candy.

Where are you going to spend most of your time?

We have a 39' toyhauler and it is all about inches. Our RV has a 12' garage which equals 144 inches of length with 8' standard width. A trike bike is 109 inches, the smart car is 106 inches, Scion iQ is 120 inches, Fiat 500 is 139.6 inches, and Mini Cooper 152.2 inches. My DW didn't want her washer dryer in her closet so ours is in the garage, takes up 48 inches, now that makes our over all usable garage length 96 inches.

We spend most of our time in the living/kitchen area so we opted for as much storage and seating we could get in that area, we have the same slide set up the Venom has but we have floor to ceiling cabinet, our fridg, with a L-shaped counter in the kitchen. We put two recliners in the large slide and moved the TV to over the entrance door so when you watch it your not forced to sit at an angle or to continually watch it out of the corner of your eye, that's hard on the eyes. We were glad we delayed buying the back door patio feature. What we have found after 6 years of full timing is that most RV Park sites will not have enough usable length to use the deck, Even the pull thru sites many times won't support this feature and still have room to park your tow vehicle. The Parks with only back-in sites have no room for this feature.

Just a few thoughts from someone who has a similar type RV set-up.

Soundman,

Did you get your new RV yet?

Some further thoughts for you to consider.

Since you live on the east coast I would research the length and width requirements for Maryland and your surrounding states. Each state has max length and width regulations and they vary from state to state. I would also suggest you opt for a tow vehicle in the 1 ton range, we pull with an F450. I see that you have the optional power bed feature available, we had a stacked feature and I removed the lower bench/bed option and and I reinforced the upper bed and made it a storage area that I could lift/lower. Just need to take care of the lift motor, if you put to much load on the unit you could burn the lift motor out, you also have more head clearance if you add some toys. The Venom has 16" tires which is a feature I sure wish I had paid more attention to, I have 15" tires and can't grow them because of the triple axle clearance axle to axle and overhead clearance is not there. Be sure they plumb the shower and sink so it don't interfere with your pass though overhead clearance.

Good luck to you.
