We would like to travel from Brownsville Texas in to Mexico Lake Chapala area. Looks like the main road goes over some mountains. Researching RV parks has me concerned as we have an all electric 45' Coach. Any tips?:unsure:

Mountains are not an issue so long as you come into Chapala from the East of Guadalajara. Take Toll roads, well worth the expense. Traffic near Guadalajara is challenging. Speed limit is sometime only paint on the road surface and large rigs are only allow in right lane. Don't be upset by others honking at you, just take it as others letting you know where they are. Electric can and maybe a problem. Most RV parks only have 30 amp and sometime only 15 - 20 amps. Have been in many a park when large rigs had to run their gen for AC.

For your first time, it maybe of value to go with a group! Learn the ropes then branch out on your own. Enjoy!
