  1. Try this link. It is you tube video at 9:19 in the video he really gets into how to contact starlink.
  2. How much tree coverage do you have. Where we spend the summer has some trees. Would be interesting to know just how much one could get away with before it became useless. Even 5mb is better than nothing with a Verizon completely overloaded tower. Which is what we deal with.
  3. Bill, I too have the unlimited prepay grandfathered plan. I don't know if you are having the same experience as I, but, Verizon seems to be more aggressive at slowing this service down than they have in the past. I have gone to many of the same places that I would normally get 20-30mbps down that now I am doing good to get 2 or 3 in the exact same spot, at the same times of the day.
  4. It is a fact that AGM batteries degenerate more slowly the flooded ones. They can also be discharged to deeper without doing damage to the battery. Here is a link to all you would like to know about AGMs. https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/absorbent_glass_mat_agm
  5. One other reason for AGMs is that they degenerate more slowly than wet cells do. For us the advantage is that we leave our rv in storage for approximately 6 months out of the year. I disconnect the batteries so no parasitic sources can drain the batteries. Even after 6 months they have enough power left to operate the hydraulics for the landing jacks and get it connected to my truck. Where I store it, there is no way to keep the batteries charged.
  6. Well one day after renewal of the plan, everything is peachy again. No drops no troubles. This indicates that it is a problem with Verizon, not a hardware problem. Verizon is messing with us on the day of our renewal. For what reason, I don't know.
  7. Since I posted last I have had to reboot the MIFI 2 times. I guess you could say we are heavy users, we went thru 103 gb this month. Two Phones a computer and a tablet and some netflix went thru this thing this month. Actually that is less than last month and we didn't have this kind of trouble last month. I see that my payment went thru just a few minutes ago. Will see if this calms down for a while. Interesting thing, after I reboot the MIFI it see a signal strength of -65db with a signal to noise ratio of 16 db. That is quite good. But after a while it falls off to -93 db and a SNR of 5 or 6. Don't know what is going on there. It acts like it is loosing a couple of its' 4 antennae inside, or its radio fluctuates. Don't know, just brain storming.
  8. Well it is my auto renew day and my 8800 is dropping me about every 2 hours. Its' screen says it is connected to the internet, but my computer and phone says connected with no internet. Have had the 8800 for 2 months now. This is the first time it has done this. Will a factory reset fix this? If so do I have to reinstate the account? THIA for any advise.
  9. Chiefneon, How do you get past the requirement and I quote "Residential customers only", that Direct TV Now has? This really sounds great. Would like to eliminate the satellite dish, and like you not worry about trees, rain and such. Would be using the Verizon unlimited pre pay MIFI plan. Already have it and it work great for our internet.
  10. Hate to tell you this, but surveys are a joke. They are only put there to make you think that someone cares.
