  1. I use a long ramp and a small winch mounted on the truck. Built a set of training wheels to stabilize the bike so I don't need to balance it. Snap it into the biker bar, and I am done, no straps needed. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Yhix4w9uPUlsKhzr2
  2. Good job my friend, preparation and perseverance mostly brings success. Can not wait to see that fancy blue paint and your new portable cave. Didn't know the new APU's had a shore power option for the cooling, nice. Is it basically a gen set then and everything runs on electrons?
  3. RF, we are not far north of you, near Marion in Martel. I know where you are, but as you might know, am in the middle of getting the AirCutter and 5er ready to go to Q. In fact, we were to leave a week ago. Will let you know when we are heading south, as will probably do the 61 / 71 exit to head out. This retirement thing is no piece of cake, need to get a job so I can relax again. 419-834-3877

William Here.I saw a picture of your tandem axle HDT.Was wanting to know mpg in a rig like yours pulling a 5th wheel. Was wanting to know if turning a hdt into a single axle is woth the cost.Thinking keeping one tandem if rear gears were high ratio.Thanks.

  4. Hello all: We (my wife, Jenney, and me, Dave) are new to the HDT world as of Nov and are trying to join in the fun. Started following these forums and will say Jen and I have been encouraged and educated by the great topics of interest to us all, esp here. So many of the questions about making things usable have been addressed and helped me try to be ready to do a 6000 mi trip to Q and back., hopefully without disastrous event. Here is a picture of the rig as I got it the day my HR Presidential was delivered. Still had the commerical fifth wheel, a title that said "semi tractor", and all those goodies not needed anymore.
