bigjim
I believe the Livingston Walmart closed for repairs sometime back. Does anyone know if it re-openned?
Velos
I googled Is the Walmart Livingston TX Open and found several articles discussing its closure: https://www.google.com/search?q=Walmart+Livingston+RX&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=Walmart+Livingston+TX You may want to call the store number to verify: Livingston Walmart Supercenter 1620 W Church St Livingston, TX 77351 (936) 327-6370
whj469
Not yet, they stated it would take six months for the plumbing repairs? That is the time it took to build the whole store. I have read that they closed it because so many of the employees protested for higher wages, also two other stores in CA. I don't know if that is true, but I can't think of a reason why it would take six months for plumbing repairs? My son-in-laws brother was the superintendent for the company that build that store. He still works for that company building Walmarts and Sams.
oldcodger
We were in Livingston volunteering at the CARE center May and June. The pharmacy and the vision center are still open, although no otc products are available in pharmacy. The week before we left (July 1st) they had a crew re-stripping the parking lot. Walmart available in Cleveland, Liberty, Woodville, and a little further, Lufkin, which has a Sam's Club next door. Some folks were assuring us that it was some sort of plot between Walmart and the current administration to begin martial law! Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... oldcodger
No, sure DID NOT see any military soldiers or vehicles. What we did see on our trips with residents from the CARE center to pickup their prescriptions was Walmart supervisors checking in Walmart employees inside the the front entrance along side a Livingston police officer and directing walk ins to the pharmacy or vision center. Outside a U.S. Security Patrol private security guard in a vehicle patrolled the parking area and property. SingingSoxFan
I was told that OSHA closed the Livingston store, as well as a few others, after several safety violations (plumbing being one of them). They're scheduled to re-open in October. Nancy (and Craig) Moore XKP 120616 Class of '
