A new RV Directory/review site, work from anywhere

I wrote the forum admin, Mark, before posts and he suggested this Workers Wanted forum would be the best place to post this.

Hi, My wife and I owed an RV (Fleetwood Winderness, Yukon '28) for a year last year and that is how we noticed your group. I work for a small Internet company in California, and my boss’s parents proposed an idea. So we're currently working on building a new site dedicated to just RV parks. I've spent a while studying how people research RV parks and we think that we can provide better tools to the community than what currently exists.

I wanted to reach out to you and the members of the RV Network forum groups, but I also wanted to be respectful and not at all spammy. Right now, we're assembling what we hope will be the most comprehensive list of RV parks around. We're currently looking for RVers to help us fact check that data that we are collecting. Soon, we'll also want beta testers to start playing with the site and sharing their thoughts on different RV parks. For all of these efforts, we're more than happy to compensate people for their time, but we really want to find people that are dedicated to RVing.

We will need fact checkers (paid position), park reviewers (for those who are constantly on the go, and a paid position) and even site testers (fun, but voluntary).

If anyone is interested either reply here or you can email or private message as well.

Cargo Trailer - make reasonable offer

If you are like us, you had a bunch of stuff to store when you decided to become a full time RVer. For a while we rented a storage space but we soon realized that the monthly rent really adds up fast. Instead, we bought a simple cargo trailer, filled it with the household items that we couldn't carry in the RV, and parked it for free in a secure location. Or you may simply have some bulky items to take along with you like bicycles or golf carts.

For health reasons we can no longer live the RV lifestyle so we're back into a house and our nearly new cargo trailer is for sale. Here are the specifications. We paid over $3000 in early 2008. No reasonable offer refused.
Thousand Trails/NACO/Liesure TIme membership 4 sale

For health reasons we have had to stop RVing.

Our "used" membership contract is part of their National Alliance program. It includes all Thousand Trails and NACO parks nationwide plus all the Leisure Time parks in the Pacific Northwest. Contract provisions include the ability to stay within the system every day of the year provided that you move every 14 days. Other TT/NACO contracts have other requirements so you may well see other ads for Thousand Trails used memberships with different rules. In my opinion Thousand Trails is a great deal financially speaking if you a) buy it at the right price and plan to use it a lot. We stayed at TT/NACO parks almost exclusively for the past 8 years at an average cost per night of somewhere between $2 and $3 - and that includes ALL hookups!

We are asking $1000 for the membership plus the TT/NACO company will want an additional $750 transfer fee if I am not mistaken.

Our maintenance fees came with two options. First you could buy 50 nights in advance for something like $450. If you go over 50 nights it costs an additional $2.00 per night. The other option is unlimited nights per year for something like $900. After age 65, your increase in annual maintenance fees is limited to 50% of what those under age 65 pay.

TT/NACO membership also includes the option to join RPI. RPI membership isn't as good a deal at TT/NACO in our opinion. When we first joined RPI, there were hundreds of parks in the RPI system and the per night charge was set at $5 with a 1 week maximum stay at any given park. Now it seems that most of the RPI parks have dropped out of the program and the price of those who stayed has risen to $10 per night. Unless things have changed, your membership in RPI will cost $75 per year (if you decide to join) and you have to buy reservation "coupons" in advance for about $2 each. Though we did join RPI ourselves, we found it to be of very limited usefulness in our situation.

It would be very easy to bring back into the US as it meets all the qualifications. If you'd like to see the ad it is in this forum. Seach Mobile suites under member "Nelson"

1998 Bounder 35 foot

Bounder is ready to camp. I am using it in Florida at this time and everything works. There is a full bath with tub and shower, you will not run out of hot water, 3 air conditioners, 2 furances, sleeps 6, sofa sleeps 2, table converts to bed for 2 and the rear bedroom sleeps 2 in a queen size bed. This Bounder was ordered with everything, besides the regular awning it has awnings over each window, it is self contained with 100 gal of fresh water and two holding tanks with each holding 50 galons. There is a 5.5 onan generater that will run everything and then some. The 5.5 was a special order as most came with a 4.0 The dash air conditioner works well. Unit has 2 televisions wires for cable and satellite. There is a satellite dish mounted on the roof. Tires are all in great shape with no weather cracking. Units comes with covers for the tires and a large cover for the entire RV. Wheels are chrome. There is no body damage, never been wrecked. Drives like new Motorhome has only 32000 miles on it and has been taken care of. I got a good deal on this unit and have bought a place in Florida so my savings with pass to you. I want 17,500 just what I have in it and will not deal down a single penny. I will bring the bounder home to Tennessee in the first week of December if it doesn't sell in Florida. My cell number is 931 627 0492 I won't put my home phone number on here but you can message me here. I will be looking for a travel trailer when I get home.

Thanks
Danny

Custom Designed 46' Travel Units 5th Wheel, 2 Bedroom

We have officially moved out of our 5th wheel after closing on our new home. We traveled as a family as long as we
could, while I worked in various parts of the county. If the economy ever comes back around for work to pick back up
I will be going out by myself. I do not need such a large trailer for just me.

The 5er really is 46' long and is a two bedroom model. The rear bedroom was originally designed as a darkroom for
developing pictures. The original owners had the trailer built for traveling to equestrian events and photographing
high end race horses. They had used it very little, it looked unlived in when we purchased it.

Moving forward from the rear bedroom, there is a laundry room with a folding table and overhead cabinets and drawers
for storage. There is also a double closet and a exterior entry door in this room. Included are the Maytag front load washer
and Kenmore 110v dryer, that are less than two years old.

Next is the combined living dining area, the ceilings are at least 8' tall. There are an abundance of hardwood cabinets with
a Dometic Fridge that is 110v or 12v. The hot water heater is a gas only model that does an excellent job of keeping up
with the shower. I just replaced it this past spring, and ALL new plumbing for freshwater as well. Four burner range top stove.
The couch and dinette are in a long slide that goes out about 4'.

The entertainment center is wired for a dual tuner Directv and holds a 32" Flatscreen perfectly, it is mounted above the living room
entry door. That should give you an idea of how tall the ceilings are.

The bathroom area is the next room moving toward the front, a large porcelain sink with a lighted "Holywood" style vanity.
Separate closet for the porcelain marine stool with a large 110v fan to ensure that no "smells" escape! A roomy stand up shower
rounds out the bathroom area. This 5er is fully self contained with gray, black and freshwater tanks they are big but I do not
know the exact size.

The front bedroom has four closets and a queen size bed and enough room to store a wardrobe for two for five seasons!
The bed is in a slide out and the bedroom is stand up as well. The entire "nosecap" is closet space.

We have the front bed and my favorite chair removed from the trailer, but the buyer can pick the furniture the want and I will
install it at my expense.

There is quite a bit of exterior storage as well, two front basement doors, a short pass through storage, and a special 12" by 12"
"tent" storage. The back bumper pulls out about 2' and is a foot deep with two compartments one for sewer hose and one for water
hose is how I have it set up now.

It has two HWH hydraulic front jacks and six manual stabilizer jacks and they do an excellent job of keeping the 5er still while the
apartment sized front loader washing machine is running the spin cycle!

I can deliver this unit to you anywhere but CA and the North EAST coast and if you are somewhere I want to go I may even do it
for FREE!

The truck is also available (not included in price), but it is a plain Freightliner FLD 120 with an M11 Cummins and a 10 speed.

Feel free to post here, pm, or email me with any questions.

Here are a few pictures;

Seemingly endless because of its location at the end of a short street and bordered by common areas and a pond with a lighted fountain . It has a 40' level concrete pad for the RV and parking for 2 additional vehicles. Town Park (55+) is part of Wilderness RV Park Estates which boasts such amenities as: club houses, pools, spas, lodge, social hall, workout room, laundry, game areas, dog run, restaurant on site and a wonderful Activities director. $475+electric (individually metered) Email for more info smies49@yahoo.com

2000 Lexus RX300 tow equipped

We will be back in Texas in November and will have two cars. It is hard to tow two, so we will sell one, which will be the 2000 Lexus. Here is info:

2000 Lexus RX300 2WD with 90,000 miles. Only Lexus model approved for 4 wheels down towing (I have letter from Lexus). Leather, sun roof, spoiler, roof rack, CD changer and premium sound, rear windows tinted, a fully loaded vehicle. Original FL owner added gold package and interior wood trim. I have original window sticker and all manuals. Sold to second owner, who added the tow equipment and towed it behind his Travel Supreme. Tow equipment is a Demco base plate (compatible with Blue Ox) and ReadyBrake surge braking system. Aluminator (by Demco) tow bars with braking module will be included.

I bought the combo in January 2008, traded in the TS but kept the Lexus because its is a great and reliable car. After I bought it I did the following:

New battery (5 year warranty through Advance Auto)
Resurfaced disks and put in all new pads (nationwide Sears warranty)
All new Goodyear Integrity tires (warranty by Discount tire). Spare has never seen the ground.
All new belts, including timing belt. New O2 sensor.
All floor mats replaced with top quality rubber mats.
All scheduled services performed, most receipts available.

There is no mechanical problem that I am aware of. There are some cosmetic issues:

Left front fender was repainted by first owner (just small parking lot damage) but the paint is fading.
Small scratch above fuel filler door
Aftermarket interior wood details is fading
And about the usual usage marks you's find on a well maintained 9 year old car.

As mentioned, will be in Livingston Nov 1 for 4 days, then in North Dallas until end December. I have pictures of the car's exterior and will have inside pictures in about a week. These cars sell between $8K and $12K on eBay without the tow equipment, I will sell the package for $10,900 complete. I have clear title in hand.

Thanks,

== John

I have the receiver style Ready Brake system and a separate tow bar that I will include with the Jeep. The Jeep is equipped with separate bulbs used as your lights when towing. They are installed in the standard Jeep reflector case. There is a receptacle on the front of the jeep that plugs into your wiring receptacle on your motor-home.
Best of all, the Jeep has only a little over 80,000 miles, runs strong, bullet proof 4.0 4wd beautiful bronze color. Automatic. Has an after market cruise control that works perfect. Simply put the transfer case in neutral, transmission in park and that's all there is to tow it. Only insignificant scratches... no dings/dents.
Recently put Monroe shocks all the way around. Well maintained.
I paid $8,000 for it when I bought my motor home in April this year. Spent a couple thousand on tires rims shocks new battery and some other maintenance stuff. The towing bars, braking system, etc cost about a grand plus/minus.
I'm open to reasonable offers. Also open to trade for an economy car, or a hightop conversion van of equivalent value. I am in no hurry to sell it.
40' Teton and Freightliner FL-60 for sale

After nearly 10 years of RVing around the country in our '98 Teton and Freightliner we have made an offer to buy a regular house again. Escrow should close in early November. If we do any more RVing after moving into the house it will be in a much smaller rig, so we are getting ready to sell this one. Trouble is, I have no idea what would be a fair price to ask. When they were brand new the Teton had a list price of about $125,000 and the truck was in the $75,000 range. Together, the pair would have brought about $200,000 in 1998. The truck odometer shows about 175,000 miles at this time and won't be much different when we get ready to sell it in November. The 5th wheel is somewhat less, but of course it has no odometer so there is no way to accurately verify the mileage on the Teton.

If there are any interested parties out there, please contact me and we can discuss it.
