Sure glad to hear that Toni and Doug are safely back in Canada. We are back in AJ after a wonderful almost three week vacation. Good to see many of you and hope to see more as the winter progresses.

Thank you for your concern. I will make a blog and show snow pictures.

I think Freud has a hand in here. We've been here for 2 weeks and I just remembered to move our peg.

We are still warm and comfortable. Dad is not getting any better and we think he will probably be placed in care rather than be sent home. That would be best for all of us. We visit every other day and Dad always has some errand for us to run.

We try to have "nothing" days and we try to do fun things too. We have been visiting with family and friends. This weekend we are a bit overloaded, pun intended, we are helping Graeme and Adrienne move.

Sounds like you are coping well. Sounds like things are going better than I worried they would. That's good news. I am happy for you.

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. It was good that you got to spend time with him.

It looks like it might be my turn next. My Dad, age 94, has lung cancer and is starting hospice care today. I am mentally packing to go back to my hometown when the time comes.

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad.  It's a tough thing to go through when there is nothing you can do.  Where is your hometown?

Thanks. I'm glad my step-sister is only a couple hours from them and Jean's niece lives nearby and is actively supporting them. I spent my first 15 years living in Decatur, Illinois. Dad and Jean live just outside the city limits. Jean's first husband died of cancer many years ago. I hate that she's going through this again.

Gee Linda, I'm sorry!  I hope that your Dad has the relatively quick passing as my Dad did.  Hugs.

Thanks for everyone's good wishes for my Dad and me. He said he'd be ready to go if it didn't mean leaving my stepmother. They've been together nearly 50 good years. My oldest brother and his daughter are flying home from Phoenix tomorrow to spend some last time with Dad. We have not decided when we'll go yet. We're waiting for my brother's input as to how things look to him. It's a long drive for us so we don't want to go too soon nor too late. Man, I miss having our RV to travel in and to stay in while we are there!

My brother got home Tuesday and my Dad passed that night. I did not expect him to go so quickly based on what Dad told me just Sunday. So, we'll be going home next week for the memorial service. Those of you who pray, please, do so for my step-mother; she won't be able to live alone so she has a lot of decisions and work in front of her since she's lived in that house for somewhere around 60 years.

Linda, we are so sorry to read about dad. What a blessing it must have been though for your brother to be able to talk with dad before he passed away. Please know that you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort. Prayers, also, for safe travels. Love Marsha and Paul
