No power to fuse box

Go HERE.  Disregard price.  Click on View File in Item Description box.  Either open pdf or save.  200 pages in this one.  To find other eMedia files enter description in key word search box.  I keep most all of them on a USB drive in the truck.  I printed out important ones, like the electrical/wiring diagrams and keep them in a notebook in the truck too.  This one may seem confusing, but it is your road map to where what comes and goes to what electrically.

I have no power to fuse box, batteries have been cleaned, no accessories work, the horn works, no dash lights, all seems to be dead

where to start

I'm going to ask the stupid question, but did you just clean the batteries???  It really helps to go back to the last thing you did, or had someone else do, and see what was missed.

If you just cleaned them yourself and detached all the cables, it sounds like you possibly missed attaching one of the small wires.

Just a thought.

Actually cleaned all last weekend and have driven since then,  found F15 fuse blown, replaced and now have most power back, turn key and no start, relay clicks when key is turned to start, I'm getting all dashes on dash cluster, no lights on shifter

Went through and rechecked wiring I had done , all is good,

turn key on I get all dashes on the dash

previously found F15 fuse blown, replaced and got power back, still missing power in bunk but not concerned with that right now,

when I turn the key I now blow F15 fuse

Update

all power restored, although turn key blows fuse when you try to start, ohm switch out it appears to be functioning properly, I can jump starter solenoid, truck starts right up, fuel gauge and air gauges work, no other gauges, shifts into gear, I have not tried it on the road yet, shifter lights change with gear change (freedomline). Ideas would be greatly appreciated

Not really, after I got the truck started by jumping it at the starter all the small things that were not working started to work, I still have only dashes on the LCD display on the dash, and the only gauges that work are the air and the fuel. I think I have it narrowed down to the relay on the side of the starter, need to verify that after work, I'm going to start at the starter and work my way back

Not making much progress, Trying to locate a slice pack, it is labeled X284/196DR, how do I figure out where it is located on the truck? There are harness diagrams in the schematics book but i am unable to locate it.

Many splice packs are up in the dash under the fuse/relay panel board.  You must remove several Torx screws to lift the panel out of the way.  May also need to remove right upper dash panel to access splice packs and wiring.  One screw is under the right dash speaker - it is the one that always complicates removal.  You need magnifying glasses to read the numbers on the wires and splice packs, but they are there.  Not positive your pack is in this location but this is where most of them hide.  It will be good to have a wiring expert on the thread.  Make notes of what you find so maybe Mark can include them in the Resource guide.
