Truma hot water heater install, great service RVs for Less in Knoxville, TN

Recommended Posts

Had a Truma hot water heater installed. Ahhhhhhh..... the new controller has addition of eco mode and decalcification mode. Takes up way less space than the 12 gallon unit that came out and uses less propane so far.

Nearest dealer to us was RVs for Less in Knoxville. They did a great job, wired in an outlet at the same time and helped me move the refirigerator in and out at the same time. Had electric and water in the lot for us to crash overnight. Top quality service.

I'm going to take a long shower now....

I've heard nothing but good things about the Truma!  Would you mind giving me a ballpark idea of the cost for the upgrade?

Thanks,
 Shawn

As I have told you in the past, we love our Truma.  It works great and doesn't have any of the quirks of the other on demand RV systems.

With your remodel, were you able to get a re-circulation circuit off the Truma?

Generally on a remodel if you have a manifold the best you can do is loop the manifold itself.

If you do not have a manifold I'd loop the shower, since that is usually the farthest appliance, depending on the layout of the rig.

nope, recirc only on factory install. but the shower is only 2 feet further than the kitchen sink, so no issues yet.

Hi guys, need advice, Many things in the trailer need to be fixed, air and water heater and may be the frig too.

So I see Truma hot water heater is good, right. I am taking my Mountain Aire out of mothball. My original water heater stop working 6 years ago. Is Truma hot water a good fit for my 10 gallons hot water cavity? What should I watch for? Get back on the road soon since 2011.

Yes it will fit that space. With room left over.

The Truma is about 1/3 the size of the 12 gal unit that came out. I'm going to build a shelf in the left over area will at least double the storage space under the sink.
