RHeller1
working on my 2011 Volvo with a D11 engine. I want to replace the coolant filter but the shut off valve is different than any I have seen and dont know what is off and what is on. Most I have seen use a roll pin on a shaft that you turn. Mine has a large nut with an allen head bolt in middle. Any insight on this valve?
spindrift
Almost looks as though someone broke the original valve and replaced it with whatever was laying in the bottom of their tool box. 2012 F350 KR CC DRW w/ some stuff 2019 Arctic Fox 32-5MCindy and Tom, Kasey and Maggie (our Newfie and Berner) Oh...I forgot the five kids. Darryl&Rita
Agreed. That looks like the valve was gutted, and a pipe plug installed in place of the working parts. Time to replace it. I'm assuming the heater hose comes off in an area hidden in the pic. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here.
