remoandiris
I would just go with a standard residential mattress unless you simply have no room. IMO, RV mattresses are over priced and under comfortable.
I'mdonewiththis forum
Go to a mattress store and ask for a short queen. I did that and it was not even a challenge! Simple as can be......
docj
We purchased a Serta short queen from here: Serta RV mattresses about 4 years ago and have been very pleased with it. No, it didn't have the radius corner but that didn't make a difference for our setup. What's unusual about these units is that they are "single sided". In other words they are designed to serve the roll of both mattress and box spring. Therefore they can't be turned over. roadrunner7410
If you are near an Original Mattress Factory store, you could check with them. The last time we asked about a "special RV" mattress, we were told that it would cost about $50 more than the current price of the mattress we wanted. All they needed to know was the corner radius. crstrm
We purchased our latex mattress at Arizona Premium Mattress in North Phoenix. They cut to size, if needed. http://www.mattresses.net/ 2016 Leisure Travel Van Serenity S24CB
pethier
Tomorrow we pick up our innerspring mattress at the Original Mattress Factory. We have one of their mattresses on the queen bed at home and like it just fine. It's flippable and has built-in handles on the side. Our Damon pusher has a short queen. OMF will make custom sizes for a 50-dollar charge. In the Classic line, they can make it 73.5 inches long which is just right for the Damon. Ordered on Monday, pick-up on Friday. My wife tried all the mattresses in the showroom without looking at the prices, and lucky me, like the least-expensive the best. One feature they put in all of their king mattresses is a built-in hinge for easy access. They are doing that to our short queen at no extra charge. This will make getting it into the back of the pusher a heck of a lot easier. The conventional innerspring that was in there was a beggar to remove, especially since it has no handles. We will shove it back into the living room for the trip to OMF, who is taking it off our hands for five bucks. Out the door for less than 400 bucks, and a 10-year warranty. If you have one of these in your town or along your travels, i think it is a good deal. A local RV place offered us a Denver foam for well over 600 dollars. Pass. https://www.originalmattress.com/locations The guy did ask about custom radius, but the cut-corners on the Damon are small enough that the standard radius will be fine. pethier, interested in toyhaulers for 13-foot car
freestoneangler
We just purchased a full queen CoolMax 8" foam mattress from Mattress Insider. https://www.mattressinsider.com/rv-mattress.html. They make numerous standard and non-standard mattresses for RV's, They will also make custom if needed. I am one of the product research and review types that, in most folks opinion, goes overboard doing so before buying. The reviews from this company are really outstanding. We received the bed a day ahead of schedule and it is great! We just spent a few nights on it and it is way better than the supposed "upgrade" mattress that came with the TT. They offer a money back guarantee if you don't like the mattress within the first 30 days. Just contact them, donate to a 501c charity, get a receipt and that's it... hard to beat that.
