missourijan Posted December 29, 2016 Report Share Posted December 29, 2016 We've stayed at the Oasis and while it is a nice resort, it is not close to anything. It does not have a shuttle service. It does have a small café. It's also under the flight path of the airport, not terribly noisy but it is distracting. There is no rv park that I know of that has the things you ask about. One that might fit your needs is the KOA at Sam's Town, the rv park is fine, right next to the casino. I would normally NEVER recommend a KOA, high prices for just an ok rv park. This is an older RV park but it works for us and accomodates pretty much any size rig. The people are friendly and we have 50 amp full hookup. No shuttles from any RV park that we know of. <p>....JIM and LINDA......2001 American Eagle 40 '.towing a GMC Sierra 1500 4X4 with RZR in the rear. 1999 JEEP Cherokee that we tow as well. Not nearly as much traffic or crowds and still plenty of gambling available and decent shows. Now if you want plenty of action close by and "cheap" prices, check out Main Street Station. It's nothing to look at but you are within walking distance to all the Fremont Experience is and the casino's that go with it. 57becky Posted December 30, 2016 Report Share Posted December 30, 2016 We are staying for a week at Oasis in February, and have a 90 foot FHU site reserved. We are having friends and family coming over to visit, so will have plenty of parking. We've done this before, and had room for six extra vehicles visiting us. Price isn't cheap, about $500 for a week, but we enjoy the park. The planes are not right overhead, and the location is really pretty convenient, while not right on the strip, it isn't that far to where you might want to go. I have been to vegas on a new years weekend. Butts an Elbows is about all it is. Extremely over crowded. Laughin, i been in summer. Hot as Brick Oven. But ratio to ppl an elbow room is awesome. Price wise laughlin is probably a lot less $$$. Altho Old Vegas is something that if you have never been to is a great look back when it was first started. old type casino's. Brass rails in the bar's. Almost like walking into a old western movie live. IMO priority would be Old Vegas, Laughlin, Vegas. 2000 Itasca Horizon DP (Got Total During Irma). It has bus transportation down to the strip since it isn't that close. That is its only drawback as far as I am concerned. Them Air Force folks do know how to live. It is a basically a parking lot with hookups, but also just minutes from the Strip and walking distance of Downtown, Fremont Street, and the Arts District. Buffet at Main St. Station is also well priced. We've stayed there 4 times at about a week at a time. I have wanted to try Circus Circus's park but their daily "resort" fee usually costs as much as a night's parking, doubling the price of a stay. Hot Rod Posted January 13, 2017 Report Share Posted January 13, 2017 It's been a few years since we camped in Vegas, I was going to recommend Sam's Town. I did not know that it was now a KOA. Which means the prices have gone up, but same facility. Sam's used to have cheap RV sites to go with the cheap hotel rates. Still, good location right next door to Sam's Town which is a very nice place, decent restaurants and great buffet, and free shuttles that run downtown to the California, and another to Harrah's on the strip, all day long. Also across the street from Pepe's Tacos, 24 hour taco joint worth a stop. The last few years we flew in and stayed at Sam's. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
