breister
Planning a trip to Asheville NC this mid-October and looking for suggested RV resorts. We have a 40' MH with a toad so would prefer pull-thru site but doesn't have to be. Any suggestions within about 30 miles of Asheville would be appreciated. Thanks folks! Kevin H
Believe it or not, there are not a lot of options in the Asheville proper. We spent last winter at Wilson's Riverfront RV Park. This was our second time there. Great location and the least expensive we could find - still $750/month No pull-thrus tho. Small no-frills park. Good that you are making plans now. October is one of the busiest times in that area do to the fall 'Leaf-Peepers'. Things book quick. There are KOAs in the area. Bear Creek is nice but $$$. Taps' sites are close, close, close. Navigating a big rig could be difficult. Good Luck! You will enjoy Asheville, Great city. The richest are not those who have the most, but those who need the least. Dutch_12078
We're booked into the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area for a week in September. Full hookups are available on some sites, and the rate is about $31/night, $21 with a Federal Senior Pass. NoDirectionHome
I'd recommend looking around Hendersonville. It's just 20 min south and a much more affordable and less trendy version of Asheville.
