PhotoBucket

Recommended Posts

Photobucket seems to be loading very slow and erratic lately. Anyone else having issues with them? We don't have a paid subscription, just the free account if it makes any difference. No issues opening any other sites or areas.

THe sticker was off my Photobucket main page. Did you try mine? RVRoadie Photobucket gets you there. Can you see others' buckets?

OK it must be your connection or your bucket because it is not giving me any problem from a cable modem. However it was always too slow on my phone with only 3G. I am setting it up for Verizon LTE now.

I used Photobucket yesterday for the first time in a few months and it was really slow to load and display photos I was uploading.

On the other hand the photos I uploaded seem to display just fine in my reply to this topic on this forum.

I just went to Photobucket just now and the initial loading of the home page was very, very slow. It took 60-90 seconds to load. Also displaying my photos while logged takes a long time.

In both cases, noted above, it didn't seem to a slow data transfer. I have a internet data transfer speed meter and the meter shows essentially no data transfer until just as the requested screen is displayed. It seems that Photobucket is taking a long time to process the request, but once the data transfer is started it goes quickly.

That's what I'm getting Al. Just a terrible lag in loading the site.

At least it isn't just me. I'm in the 4G speed range using the Verizon jetpack- new version # ????.

Everything else I do is its normal self. Not instant click but no discernible lag.

I consistently see loading issues from Photobucket. About 75% of the time I access it I have an extraordinarily slow load time. That is why I went to Google Photos. Way better. In every aspect. But still not perfect.

I really like the way Photobucket gives me the option to add an image link to a forum posting which automatically displays the photo in the photo.

Do you know of a way to get Google Photos to do this?

I played with GP for several minutes and all I found was to copy the link of the photo and paste the link in the post. When viewing the forum entry you have to click on the link to see the photo instead of having the photo automatically displayed.
