Called “The Big Easy”, New Orleans is one of the most fascinating cities in the United States; a melting pot of music, food and culture. New Orleans is rich in history and is known for the French Quarter, Jackson Square, and the National WWII Museum, to name a few. In the French Quarter, you can enjoy decadent Beignets and Cajun coffee or, savor mixed drinks in the restaurants and bars that line Bourbon Street. You can even enjoy shopping in the many gift shops! Enjoy the rocking chairs and cool breezes on the porches of the South’s most beautiful historical plantations, once renowned for their rich crops of sugar cane and cotton. Walk through the beautiful gardens located on the plantation. After the tour, enjoy the local cuisine during lunch. Enjoy watching animals in their natural habitat? Take an amazing swamp boat excursion and learn all about the history of the Cajun Bayous, since the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain are nesting grounds for many different species of birds, alligators and various other animals that call the swamps home.
