Alaska Cruise and Land Adventure HOP 7 days by sea and 5 days by land! May 17 – 29, 2024 There are a few cabins left for this land and sea HOP! From the coastline to the heart of the interior, experience the magic only Alaska can offer on this spectacular 7-days-by-sea and 5-days-by-land, as it delivers all the must-see sights by ship, train and multi-night land tours. There will also be socials for the HOP attendees during the days at sea. Alaska is a part of the world where Mother Nature has been left in her natural state and wildlife remains abundant. You may even catch a glimpse of whales breaching the water! Fly into Vancouver, British Columbia and set sail onboard the luxurious comfort of Royal Caribbean’s ship, Radiance of the Seas. Once onboard the ship, activities, entertainment and incredible food will be provided. The ship offers a wide array of port excursions to fit your lifestyle. Tours are the best way to enjoy the magnificent sights in each port-of-call as well as the culture and warm embrace of the local people. Alaska has some of the world’s most spectacular glaciers in the world. These glaciers often drop vast chunks of ice into the sea. This process is called calving and can sound like a massive clap of thunder! Catching a glacier while it calves makes for some incredible pictures! During the land portion of this HOP, you’ll witness lush rainforests, towering mountains and salmon making their way upstream in the clear river streams, with bears and moose roaming freely in their natural habitat. You’ll be looking for Alaska’s “big five,” the caribou, moose, bear, grey wolves and Dall Sheep. Step on the Wilderness Express, and ride in the glass-domed train car to Fairbanks; overnighting in Fairbanks. Maine is beautiful, fun, vast, expansive, breath taking, we see it from a different perspective Off-Road! We take a great trail from JonesPort towards Lubec and Quoddy Head State Park in Maine. We also get very close to the Canadian border, but someone has forgotten his passport! We have 4 rigs headed for Alaska this year. We have been there twice in our RV (2009 & 2017). We are leading 3 other rigs for their first time. Plan on leaving So. Cal. in late April, entering Canada in late May and Alaska in late June. We love to meet other RVer's and share experiences and travel plans. We hope to post our travels here as we progress, looking forward to meeting other Alaska travelers this year.
