  1. You also need to know to shut off your headlights on the side of the road. Please read about dust storm safety in AZ before traveling the state. Good points Barb.
  2. We are residents @ Happy Trails Resort.
  3. I bet the RV Detail people in the Tucson area are busy!
  4. If you are planning to travel I-10 in Arizona especially near Tucson you need to read this. Arizona Dust Storm Closes I-10 March 2, 2017
  5. Actually they have lots as low as $39k and many in the mid-50's. Check out Surprise Realty here $85k will get you a lot on the golf course. Many lots have Casitas (they call them Arizona rooms) some are fully covered.
  6. You described it well! The amazing thing is the activity in the park is vast. There is a bike club and a few people that ride with the club are over 80 years old. In fact on gentleman is 87! The pickleball club has many champions in their 70's and compete. It is very inspiring! There is a Chuckwagon (volunteer run restaurant) that serves breakfast, lunch and ice cream 6 days a week. Since the lots are deeded many have been residents for years and expand to add Casitas or small homes to their lots and often downsize their RV and keep going.
  7. Thank you for being of service! Wishing you well and enjoyment in Arizona.
  8. While staying in an Arizona RV Park just West of Phoenix a mobile RV technician shared information about a wonderful RV Resort located in Surprise Arizona. The park offers RV lots that can be purchased or rented. It is a beautiful established resort close to shopping and entertainment including Spring training baseball parks. The Park offers all the activities imaginable including Pickleball, Tennis, Golf, and much more. Here is the link for more information Happy Trails Resort
  9. There is a new RV park in Houston near Galveston that is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here recently to visit friends and we highly recommend it. Marquee RV Resort opened last month and is a great location for visiting NASA the Kemah Boardwalk etc. It is also a great place to stay before or after a cruise leaving Galveston. There is a seafood market nearby and great grocery stores less than ten miles. There is also a shopping outlet about 30 minutes away.
  10. Thank you! We will certainly look in to it!
  11. We have been coming to Houston since 2008. The cost increase for park rent is staggering we paid $350 including electric in 2008. This year we called 3 months in advance to make a reservation at our favorite park we have stayed at for years and were told we more than like won't get in even on the "wait list". We made a second choice just in case. The rate at the second choice park is $750 and it is mostly a sleeping place for those working the oil fields.
  12. Since you are headed that way anyway you might want to look into the RV Dreams Rally in TN in May. It is a wonderful few days full of seminars and education for those exploring the RV lifestyle.
  13. AZ Blue will be offering an option that includes a nationwide network. If you enrolled through an agent contact them for an update.
  14. I can say it in two words "ice cream".
  15. Cal Am Parks are offering a fall special for September through December for a rate as low as $595.00 for the entire time period. That is less than $5.00 per day. You do have to pay for electric and curb side trash. Some parks are @ higher rate. This is our 5th year staying for the special and we have met so many wonderful people. We always stay at Valle Del Oro which is in Mesa AZ @ Ellsworth and the 60 freeway. They are $895.00 which is less than $7.50 per day. Some of the parks are located closer to downtown Mesa near Camping World. These are resort parks with swimming pools, tennis courts, pickle ball, billiard tournaments, woodwork shops, lapidary.....well only a boring person could get bored here. )) Hope to see y'all!
