Full-time from April of 2000 when we closed on the house sale, until Oct. 2011 when we moved into an RV port home near Tyler, TX due to continuing health issues for Pam. In August, 2019 we sold that home and moved into an independent living community in Mesquite, TX. 

We usually spend several months of each year in some volunteer for RV site position with our favorites being locations where we do interpretive work. We also choose a mix of locations where we do some maintenance and office work and an occasional campground host position, just to keep life interesting. We try to find locations that we have never visited and where we will learn new things and have new experiences. 

I spent nearly 8 years in the submarine service. Grew up on a Kansas farm, met and married a southern Calif. girl while there in the Navy and we have been a team since December of 1962. We raised three boys, mostly in Wyoming, then transferred to Texas, where we still are domiciled.

I am a retired electrical/mechanical service tech. from 3M company. We have owned some type of RV since we got our first old, used pop-up in 1972. I do most of my own RV repairs and maintenance and enjoy helping others to trouble shoot any problems that they have.

We lived in a 1998, 36', slide free, Ford powered Cruise Master motor-home which we purchased new. We used to tow a 2009, Honda CR-V which was our third tow vehicle. We put about 240,000 miles on our three toweds combined and our motor-home had nearly 80K miles when sold in 2012.

We now travel seasonally in a 19' KZ Sportsman travel trailer that is towed by a 2003, Dodge 2500, Cummins Diesel. We are active in Escapee events and help to staff Escapades.
