  1. Look up Yosemite Pines RV Resort and Family Lodging in Groveland, CA. 22 miles from the west entrance to the park. A 24' class C is fine for the Yosemite. There is also transit services from the RV park it-self if you don't want to drive. Lots of renters of class C MH stay there. It's a perfect home base with a nice grocery store 2 miles away. Lots of Amenities at this park as well. Pool, deli, etc... Easy reservations and reasonable prices. There is also Yosemite Lakes about 5 miles from the west entrance. It's a Thousand Trails park. Take and care and have FUN!!!
  2. What happened with all of the people that said they wanted this? It's still available. This is the worst sale I've ever seen. I understand why it's being sold the way it is but with the people that wanted it and it didn't sale makes me feel like something is wrong or fishy.
  3. Nice looking truck. Someone will snatch it up. By the way you can access FB from ANY computer including a smart phone. facebook.com and login. Good luck.
  4. Is this a one and done member? Did you come up with anything?
  5. Are you 50 amp pre-wired for a second AC? If so that is what I would do. I added a 3rd AC to our rig and what a difference. It's is a RECPRO brand non ducted with remote. They do make ducted units. Now inside the rig doesn't know it's 110 outside.
  6. When I can plan, I buy all of the supplies so the tech doesn't have to run to the store. I learned that lesson the first time.
  7. I worked directly for Verizon Wireless back in the day when we were in Circuit City's. Dam that was good money. Then Circuit City Closed all of their stores and I went back to the mall Kiosk. These two examples are the same thing as Costco now. I prefer when the carrier has their own employees. All this said, I haven't been in a wireless store or at a kiosk in years. I do everything online. The silent salesman is the best salesmen. No pressure.
  8. Yup here in Northern California it's hard to find a good one and the good one's know it. The guy I use is $250 call out includes first hour. $175 each additional our. Needless to say I've learned to do a lot of my own stuff to my rig. I do use him for the complicated things.
  9. This happened to our rig. At first we thought the frame had broke or cracked. It turned out the body was separating from the frame. The repair place told me that this happens sometimes. It was covered under our progressive insurance. The repair place did some extra work to ensure it doesn't happen again.
  10. I don't think this is a prank at all. I belong to a few groups and whenever this topic comes up there is all kinds of comments on how they tow their 42 or 43 foot beast with a 2500. It's really scary.
  11. Totally agree. Also if you room for both and for a second person you are doing well.
  12. My previous 5th wheel had an outdoor kitchen equipped with a sink, fridge, stove and a second microwave. To me the issue with the outdoor stove is that it was still connected to the rig and it made a big as mess as cooking indoors. Our current rigs outdoor kitchen has a sink, TV, and good size fridge. No stove and no microwave. We set up a table with the bbqer and a single burner stove for cooking outdoors. Other than that we cook inside just like at home. I like having a fridge and tv outside but I could live without it as well. I've seen some people renovate their outdoor kitchen into more storage or even a laundry. Atleast you can have options if you don't like it.
  13. We have a pair of Lectric 2.0's. One each regular and step through. Paid $899 each two years ago. We like them a lot and they suit our needs. They fold in half and I have carried them in the back of our truck and the back of the 5th wheel. We have a rear door to the rear bedroom so it makes it easy. This company has outstanding customer service that takes care of their owners. I would imagine if you need to ride on something in a museum or take on a plane you wouldn't need a 20" two wheeler electric bike. These are a really good value and they have a Lite version that weighs less than 50lbs with the battery.
  14. Thanks for popping off and stirring the pot Kirk. Just when this was a decent post.
  15. I read every single post. I'm laughing. Here in California it is legal and there are dispensaries everywhere no card needed. I know I know it's California. My two 60 plus year old brothers still smoke pot daily. We call them functioning pot smokers. I haven't smoked pot since I was 17 and joined the Navy's delayed entry program back in 82. But they tell me today's pot is not like yesterdays pot nor are the prices. I work at Middle and High Schools in my school district and daily these kids are still smoking weed in the bathrooms. Folks this country is in huge trouble for the future far worse then it is today......
  16. Yup. always turns into flexing.
  17. We are not full time yet as we have decided to keep our home in Northern California and work camp this spring and summer in Montana. But before that we are embarking on a 27 day 17 park trip from Norcal to Texas to New Orleans to San Diego and back to Norcal. We made reservations at every campground we are going to stay at as to not have to worry about it. I'm sure in a few years when we don't have to work we will slow down and enjoy the life. Or if we sell our home. The only drawback is we are stuck to this schedule but we are OK with the hustle and bustle at the moment. And we know although still high diesel is more than a dollar a gallon cheaper beyond California.

I agree as replacing it to me would be financial disaster as new and used truck prices are out of control.
  19. Welcome aboard!! How was the experience picking up your rig?
  20. I've financed through Alliant credit union and now through First Internet. Both done on line. Very easy.
  21. I think that is fine as I would think they will be used for an overnight stop until they start letting the employees live there. You know hire work campers.
  22. you must have renewed a long time ago as it's been $44 a year for many many years. Unless you do multiple years. I get my moneys worth out of KOA as where we live there are several to choose from and we frequent them about 20 nights a year. Some are $100 a night. And before someone says anything about the price all of the campgrounds around here are that price and more. If you want to play by the beach in California you are going to pay.
  23. We are not full-time yet and we still have this issue. As well as each other. We prefer to give to our 3 kids and 5 grandkids. Not a bad thing since we are 56 and 57. Just spending time with all of them is enough for us. But if they do get us something its usually RV related.
  24. In northern California we pay 4.79 to 4.99 for gas and diesel. We are absolutely getting raked over the coals on fuel prices.
