    • Check out Mattressinsider.com. I got ride of my sleep number and got a memory foam from them for $550. It is very light. They will even make a custom one for you in size and number of layers.
    • I am a solo full timer too but am older and retired. Escapees has a Solo BOF but I have only attended one gathering and it wasn’t for me but you may be interested. Check out when their next gathering is and attend. I believe the dues were only $10 per year.
    • Linda. I think you are talking about America’s Mailbox. They are in Box Elder a suburb of Rapid City and have their own camp ground. But you can do everything in person yourself and stay at any camp ground or hotel in the State for one night. Just need to join Escapees first and sign up for their mail forwarding in So Dakota to get a So Dakota address. You only need to stay one night for the drivers license. The registration can be done in person or by mail.
    • Colorado is expensive. The fees are based on value as the state sees it.  Our 99 Teton is over $300 a year.  Colorado passed some laws restricting tax increases without voter approval.  So they increase fees as they call them and vehicle registrations have skyrocketed.
    • And it goes on. . . local Peterbilt guys say they can’t change settings on a series 60, maybe Vanguard can.  They claim they can, so i show up at 0700 when they said they opened . . .nope, shop door closed till 8.   After 8 I get fussed at by a cyborg with a headset for setting foot inside the shop, i retreat to the lounge, where the cyborg comes to tell me they can’t change any settings. And magnanimously informs me there’s no charge. I refrained from any rude comments.  It was difficult. I trespass into the shop to ask the techs if the ecm is fried, and they tell me their generic software can see the settings but not change them. And he tells me the cruise is set to 75 mph, so at least I got something other than an excuse to rant. dammit.   Called some more, and Freightliner says if I show up when the old guys are in the shop they can do it. thinking i should just buy a gps to find out how fast i’m going.
