    • Need Pricing Help We have ended our travels and will be selling our rig when we return to Arizona in December.   Our truck is a 2010 Volvo 730 with an I Shift transmission and a D13, 435 hp engine.  I have singled the truck long and have decked the truck with aluminium diamond plate.   Where the wheels for the forward tandem axle were I have installed two 33” deep, 4’ long and 29” wide  locking storage boxes, even with and covered in the same aluminium diamond plate as the rest of the deck.   The hitch is from Mountain Masters and has air adjustable shocks to accommodate any tongue weight.  The truck has 640,000 miles on it, 24,000 put on by me.  Over the last four years I have upgraded to the bright Volvo LED lights, corrected a couple of transmission problems, replaced a faulty regeneration sensor and have provided annual lubrication and oil changes..  I’ve retained all service records.  Everything works as it should and the truck is a pleasure to drive.   I would appreciate your thoughts about a reasonable price for the truck.  Thanks,  John   (Right now I don’t have the band width to send a photo.)
    • What do you think of NIO?  A Chinese electric car manufacture?
    • Back to finding a place to winter. We attended Life on Wheels, kind of like Boot Camp, before we bought our first full-timing rig in 2008. While there the late Gaylord Maxwell told us to not stop in the first place we like or we might miss out on a better one just down the road. In fact he recommended we spend the whole first winter traveling coast to coast staying below I-10 since that's where most of the snowbird parks are. So we did that. We didn't like the critters in Florida. We didn't like the humidity on the Gulf Coast. We didn't like the traffic in the Rio Grande area. We didn't like the mountain weather in New Mexico. We liked Arizona. Which is good because that's where most of our SKP class members liked it, too, which made it easy to attend class reunions every year. I know the OP has decided to stay in the Phoenix area but there's a lot of territory included in most people's idea of Phoenix. So they could probably spend the winter just moving from one park to another to determine what part of Phoenix best suits them. Even just staying in the various Maricopa County parks would give them a sense of the general areas then they could start checking out private parks. Linda
    • Just because you used a system by that name does not mean they have not developed a new system but decided not to change its name to make it easier for campers to find it. Kind of like the Escapee's forum did? Linda Sand
    • $15/month, that's $180/year.  It was 10 years before we had any claims, so $1800.   Plus ours is a reducing deductible - for every year we go without a claim the deductible is reduced by 25%, so after 4 years, zero deductible.
