    • With E-Z Pass, at least here in NY, it also pays for toll BRIDGES.  So it can still be useful to people who don't drive the interstates. As far as them tracking you, I saw a Law and Order once where they convicted the guilty guy cause they checked his E-Z Pass records and used that to prove he wasn't where he claimed to be when the murder happened. Note to self:  Remove the E-Z Pass transponder from my car before driving off to kill someone who annoyed me.
    • We do our best to never drive on any interstate, let alone on toll roads.  We have found that traveling the "Blue Highways" the most enjoyable.  That way you get to see most of "real America" and avoid a lot of congestion on the interstates.  No paying for roads I've already helped pay for with taxes.  Yes, it does take a bit longer to get somewhere but its a lot more interesting.  Special thanks to William Least Heat-Moon.
    • I don't now how it is in Texas but in Minneapolis we have a "Sane Lane" which only charges tolls at certain times of the day. The rest of the day it and its adjoining lanes are free. So transponders here only pick up the one lane of a multilane freeway. As I think about it, what about those toll roads that have EZ Pass lanes and cash lanes? They, obviously, only pick up the lane the vehicle is actually in. Linda Sand
    • We use Sprint and have enjoyed good coverage with unlimited data including a personal hot spot for connecting to the internet.  Monthly cost $63.68. Good luck and safe travels to all....
    • An open leg on the meter will read as 120 volts on the one side.  The other side will have resistance to the neutral through the remaining circuits still connected to the open side.  That resistance to the neutral could slightly warm the water.
